Adoption of the Constitution

                                           Adoption of the constitution
                                                                         James Madison
In the winter of 1787-1788 the federalists were making every kind of effort in order to create state legislatures to call ratifying conventions. The purpose was to create elections in which the people can elect delegates to support the nation’s constitution. That’s when James Madison is introduced because in 1786 he became a member of the House of Delegates from Orange County. He at once became a leader to the country and his idea of a strong central government influenced the Philadelphia Convention. At the beginning his influence was so powerful and convincing that at the end, of all the changes, he was named as the father of the constitution. I believe that when Madison began to develop his political ideas after his graduation from Princeton University his purpose was to give a better interpretation to the constitution itself. In conclusion James Madison was one of the greatest minds of the federalists that helped make the United States’ constitution complete.
